Abstract:

People movers have been under development for the past 14 years in the Federal Republic of Germany. Of the four systems developed, two have been put into service. One of the two successful systems is the M-Bahn, in which the vehicle is supported, without carrying wheels by permanent magnets and driven by a LIM in the track.
