Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Advances in Underground Pipeline Engineering

Abstract:

The topics of intensified stresses and increased flexibility in pipe bends subjected to bending loads are discussed in this paper. Also discussed are dynamic strain compatibility between soil and pipeline and code requirements. Full scale testing on two 30-in diameter steel pipe bends was performed.
