Abstract:

The papers included in this publication represent a comprehensive view of three major sources of noise and vibration in our environment: Construction equipment and operations; transportation system operations; and stationary source operations. The papers document both theoretical applications with respect to measurement, monitoring, prediction and mitigation, and case studies where certain techniques were employed to reduce noise and vibration for sensitive receptors.
