Abstract:

The objective of this paper is to discuss the results of operating a laboratory bench scale compartmentalized activated sludge unit operated at a hydraulic detention time ( theta ) of 18 and 5. 15 hrs, and three sludge ages, ranging from 8 to 34 days. In addition, a computer model was developed to evaluate experimental data against current theory.
