Abstract:

The Sacramento Light Rail Transit Project is an 18. 5 mile system which provides the trunk line service for an integrated Bus/LRT public transportation system. Seismic design utilized criteria developed for similar highway and railroad structures and typical industrial buildings. The major facilities include six new bridges, four bridge renovations, a large maintenance facility, passenger station platforms and shelters and the overhead electrical catenary support system.
