Abstract:

New Jersey State Government has developed a system which enables practicing engineers to identify and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for a specific project. Publication of a Directory of State Programs for Regulating Construction, availability of a One Stop Permit Information Form and designation of a permit expediter for a project are the means by which engineers can now cut back time devoted to what are essentially professionally unproductive tasks.
