Abstract:

Seventeenth in the CE Computing BASICS series, the program in this article is for simplifying drainage calculations. The program will provide critical and normal velocities, depths and slopes, and travel time for vee, trapesoidal, rectangular and circular shaped channels. The program simplifies ditch calculations and provides input for tailwater control culvert design. Written in BASIC, the article includes a complete program printout and step-by-step instructions.
