Observations of the engineer's viewpoint regarding employment conditions are presented. Comments are limited to engineer employees because their viewpoint as professional employees are often unique in an organization. General employment relations are reviewed. The viewpoints of the young engineer employee and the experienced engineer employee are compared. It is stated that good employment policies result only when management is able to reconcile its role with the employee's viewpoint.
