Abstract: To facilitate practical application of a previously proposed cnoidal wave theory, an easily programmed procedure is presented to calculate the modulus k of cnoidal waves of a known height (or length) and period in water of a known depth. A method using bisection is employed because it is ideally suited to high speed computers.
