Limit Analysis without Mechanism Generation

It is demonstrated that the static approach to collapse load analysis for frames can be implemented without mechanism generation and virtual work. In addition, the amount of programming effort necessary to automate the generation of the governing linear programming is comparable to that for the elastic analysis of frames.
