Challenge of Michaelis-Menton Constantsby Brian W. Mar,
Serial Information: Journal of the Environmental Engineering Division, 1976, Vol. 102, Issue 5, Pg. 1114-1117
Document Type: Journal Paper
Researchers measuring half saturation constants and growth rates are urged to evaluate their data using this proposed relationship. The replacement of the half saturation constant by biomass concentrations would eliminate the cause of variation in data analysis, eliminate the need for half saturation constants, and eliminate the anomalies in phytoplankton and nutrient predictions in lakes.
