Effect of Interface Continuity on Pavement Moments

The paper presents a statical analysis of a slab half-space system subjected to normal axisymmetric loading, assuming full continuity of stresses and displacements on the interface plane. Warping effects have not been considered. The objectives of this paper are: 1. To estimate theoretically the shear-normal pressure ration on slab subgrade interface; and 2. to develop moment expressions for the slab for use in the case in which shear contact does exist at the interface. Parametric studies on moment in slab were made also.
