Abstract: This paper was written in an attempt to have industrial firms focus their attention upon the low supply of minority engineers available, and upon the upward mobility problems of such persons. The firms are requested to support programs designed to increase the supply of minority engineers. The industrial management is challenged to reassess their promotion policies with a view toward enabling more minority engineers to assume higher level positions in their organizations.
