Foundations are often subjected to loads which are not purely vertical and hence the study of bearing capacity of foundations subjected to inclined loads is of importance. Meyerhof and Hansen have proposed inclination factors ic, iγ, and iq for reduction of bearing capacity factors Nc, Ngg, and Nq in the case of inclined loads. The purpose herein is to make a comparison with the results of Meyerhof and Hansen.
