Abstract: Nonstop travel, constant cruising speed operation, immediate no-wait boarding, minimum pollution of the environment, and freedom from traffic tie-up are some of the more important attributes of an ideal transit system. Described herein is a system designed to provide those aspects of ideal service. The system utilizes relatively small vehicles that operate in an on-demand mode, thus eliminating waiting time.
