Abstract: The inertia forces may be neglected for slow loadings of viscoelastic solids, and by application of Laplace transforms, the governing equations of linear viscoelasticity may be required to those of linear elasticity in terms of transformed quantities. Herein, the proceeding approach is applied to the three-dimensional analysis of flexure of a class of simply supported rectangular plates made up of isotropic viscoelastic materials.
