Abstract: The note presents the results of the experiments performed in the Water Resources and Hydrodynamics Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, concerning the steady-state stick profile and its generation from rest with a vertical barrier, using a vertical flat plate in a flume.
