Abstract: Subsurface irrigation applies water directly into the root zone of the crop. Two subsurface irrigation systems are described herein: an automatic float-operated device to supply water needed to a tree or plants; and a plastic hose with inserts—system planted with the potato seed and harvested with the mature potatoes.
