Abstract: A discretized solution scheme is presented which is applicable for a broad class of combined initial-value and boundary-value problems in applied physics. Such problems are not generally amenable to exact solutions in terms of familiar functions. Quite often, even for the simplest differential equation, the boundary region is irregular and thus does not lend itself to an analytic solution scheme.
