Abstract: Unsteady flow equations governing the flow in a 20 port lock manifold system are solved by arithmetic integration using a digital computer. If the head loss coefficients of the component parts of the system are known, the program may be used to determine the lock filling times and the flow distribution in the manifold system. It therefore permits a detailed and rapid investigation of the many possible variations in the system at comparatively small expense, and should be useful in preliminary design investigations.
