Computer Programs for Strip Aerotriangulation

A FORTRAN IV computer program was developed for each of the following three methods of strip aerotriangulation: (1) fully-analytical; (2) instrumental; and (3) semianalytical, by independent models. Design principles of these computer programs were simplicity, clarity, and flexibility. It is expected that a person with some knowledge of photogrammetry can learn to use these programs and analyze the results in a reasonably short time. Test results from a triangulated strip showed that the present programs are mathematically sound and have sufficient computational accuracy for mapping projects.
