Prestressed Concrete Transmission Line Structuresby Fred Ruckhaus,
Serial Information: Journal of the Power Division, 1968, Vol. 94, Issue 1, Pg. 25-32
Document Type: Journal Paper
Climatic conditions and Design requirements combine to make utilization of prestressed concrete poles practical for transmission line construction in the Florida Keys. Observation of structures in service and conducting of full-scale field tests were used to develop current design criteria. The result is transmission line construction capable of withstanding hurricane wind forces.
