The reasons for using photogrammetry are presented; its limitations and advantages are discussed. The use of positional uncertainty is recommended as the basis of the accuracy evaluation of both field surveys and photogrammetric surveys. A brief description is presented of a right-of-way survey using photogrammetric and computer methods.
