Abstract: A method of integration of equations of linear thermoviscoelasticity, when the medium is subjected to moving temperature fields, is developed. The method may be regarded as the extension of Goodier's method for thermoelasticity theory. Closed-form solutions to stress fields associated with moving heat sources in unbounded standard linear solids or in unlimited standard linear plates are constructed.
