Serial Information: Journal of the Sanitary Engineering Division, 1966, Vol. 92, Issue 1, Pg. 11-18
Document Type: Journal Paper
Redwood bark is used as the trickling filter media for sewage treatment. Small disposal plants can be used for motels, resorts, trailer parks, and residences where sewers are not available. Aerobic conditions prevail and a high degree of treatment is provided. Effluent disposal is investigated and a formula is developed for design of subsurface disposal fields or pits.
