Abstract: A master plan is being developed for coordinated incremental barrier protection against hurricane tides for the Texas coastal area. The initial phase involves development of an analytical solution for determining storm tide and hurricane wind effects on coastal areas. The analytical solution will be monitored by a model study until fully developed. Hydrographic charting for the project was accomplished by Raydist control of survey operations. Topographic mapping was accomplished by 3 1/2-in, focal length photography and a direct viewing plotter. The project was controlled by CPM.
