Document Type: Journal Paper

Equations for sag-tension relationships are derived to include the effect of insulator weights at dead-end spans. For short spans, the insulator weight should not be neglected as it has been shown to have a considerable effect on the sag and tension. An actual problem is solved using parabolic formulas. Also, catenary and approximate equations are derived, if desired.
