Current Problems in Property Locationby Ira M. Tillotson,

Document Type: Journal Paper
The profession of property surveying presently (1965) has low standards of competence and performance, such that many engineers and surveyors, practicing, controlling, teaching, or influencing the profession, know little concerning property law. In fact, these men are reluctant to admit that this knowledge is necessary to the property surveyor and fail to recognize the need for monumentation, perpetuation, and information filing. They insist that state-plane-coordinates be relied on, when, in fact, SPC can do little for the property owner.
