Double-Slope Method for Pumping Test Analysis

A new graphical method is outlined for analyzing the pumping test data for determining the hydraulic properties of aquifers, namely, the transmissivity, storativity, and leakage coefficient. Four different flow systems are considered. They are the nonsteady state of radial flow, one-dimensional flow of constant head or discharge, and of leaky artesian aquifers. The procedure of use is illustrated by two examples. The results obtained using this method were found to be similar to the results of other known methods of analysis.
