Serial Information: Journal of the Structural Division, 1964, Vol. 90, Issue 6, Pg. 25-34
Document Type: Journal Paper
Abstract: The engineering analysis of a problem prior to detailed programming is treated. The need for a thorough review of the assumptions, approximations, and limitations to be embodied in the program is emphasized, and the hierarchy of problem parameters is described. The need for including logical decisions and checks is presented. Considerations in the selection of computational methods are described, and guidelines for planning possible alterations and expansions of the program are given.
