Approximate equations are derived for the spacing and steady-state discharge of replenishment wells. Three types of wells that are replenished by flow into their zones of influence are considered. They are gravity wells in a uniform flow, artesian wells in a uniform flow, and drainage wells removing uniform deep percolation. The approximate equations allow simple calculations of the spacing and steady-state discharge of such wells. They are substitutes for Peterson's graphical solutions to the same problems. The procedure of use is illustrated by two examples.
