Serial Information: Journal of the Surveying and Mapping Division, 1963, Vol. 89, Issue 2, Pg. 75-84
Document Type: Journal Paper
That which is termed strength of figure equation is a basic tool for analyzing a triangulation scheme in geodetic surveying. The derivation of this equation is not readily available (as of 1963) in the United States. It is therefore developed a new from basic surveying premises for those who are interested in the source of this equation. It is demonstrated to apply directly to a direction theodolite, and with slight modification to a repeating theodolite.
