Abstract: The specialized surveying procedures used in submarine and coastal-marsh pipeline locations, as well as major pipeline bridges and microwave communication links for pipeline operation are examined. Preplotting of locations for rapid instrument observations, control submarine construction procedures. Complete advance preparations for field work eliminate costly returns to the field in difficult marsh terrain. Detailed topographic and other information are required for suspension bridge design. Particular stress is laid on efficient determination of ground profiles, especially at the reconnaissance stage, for microwave systems.
