ASCE student members must (a) strive to obtain the optimum from their engineering education, and (b) harmonize all the elements available to attain the forefront in their engineering career. If tomorrow's engineers use the fourfold building blocks and the sixfold orientation expounded herein, the glorious position of civil engineers in the nineteenth century will be regained, and the perplexing problems evolving the frontier of engineering science will be properly faced.
