Abstract: Method of analog solution of beam in which shear and bending moment diagrams are equivalent to bending moment; mathematical study of particular case of cantilever Vierendeel truss to find law of variation for shears in cross members; application of equation expressing that variation is presented in numerical example, where attention has been given to limit cases in which cross members behave as ties or rivets.
