Difficulty was experienced in conducting conversation even at close distances in turbine gallery of Hungry Horse Power Plant; specially designed enclosures were installed over turbine pits and acoustical absorption materials were applied on walls and ceiling of gallery; this produced noise reduction of approximately 14 db throughout all frequency ranges and effectively solved noise problem.
