Control work of U S Geological Survey field engineers to obtain control for new scale map series; errors discovered on existing maps; USGS is compiling maps of 5 areas -- Thurston Peninsula, Sentinel Mountains, Horlick Mountains, Executive Committee Range, and McMurdo Sound; publication scale will be 1:250,000, with contour interval of 300 m; mapping is done with trimetrogon photography.
