The salaries paid to civil engineers in the last quarter of 1961 are 7.2% higher than those reported in the 1959 salary survey. The accompanying figures and tables illustrate the salaries and percentage increases for the several types of employment groups. Geographical comparisons are made for the different preprofessional and professional classifications of civil engineering positions.
