Modified matrix iteration method using inverse of stiffness matrix is described for determination of dynamic response of tall buildings caused by earthquake or blast loadings; as first result method obtains fundamental frequency and normal mode; calculations are based on usual shear building assumption; exact inverse of stiffness matrix of any shear building is given by formula; example.
