Abstract:

Stress grades of laminated structural members are widely used; structural grading of nonstress grades also becomes more and more necessary; study to develop working stresses for 2×4 in. Douglas fir in two typical nonstress grades; table gives strength ratio, bending, compression, and tension values based on hundreds of tests.
