Abstract: High-lift method of concrete placement has been applied successfully by Ontario Hydro, since 1930 to series of structures ranging in height to maximum of 240 ft; all evidence from crack surveys, embedded instruments and stress analysis indicates that dangerous cracking is unlikely in these structures.
