Development of Canadian oil and gas has resulted in regulation of pipeline design and construction by the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. These regulations, compiled and briefly abstracted, differ from State codes in the United States regulating gas pipelines only, in that they also apply to oil pipelines.
