Serial Information: Journal of the Highway Division, 1959, Vol. 85, Issue 4, Pg. 61-76
Document Type: Journal Paper
Abstract: Location and spacing of interchanges on freeways has a pronounced effect upon the transportation system of a city. Widely spaced interchanges do not provide the needed service; on the other hand, too many interchanges result in loss of speed and capacity. Bases for spacing of interchanges, including schemes for increasing operational efficiency, are presented.
