Abstract: New water supply system will serve suburban communities of southeastern part of Wayne County, Mich; important features are water intake in Detroit River and 4 mi long, 12 ft diam raw water tunnel extending inland to pumping station and purification plant; system and other existing intakes of Detroit River are described.
