Abstract: Tunnel in Vancouver, BC, has rectangular cross-section to be supported on sand fill jetted under tunnel elements to form uniform support; tunnel is built up of six elements each approximately 344 ft long, 76 ft wide, and 25 ft high; reinforced concrete elements, properly protected by waterproofing membrane which covers all surfaces, will provide four traffic lanes, each 12 ft wide with vertical clearance of 14 ft.
