Abstract: Wind tides and wave conditions in shallow water were studied in laboratory channel; experiments were conducted with smooth and rough bottom conditions, and with strips of cheese cloth in channel to simulate roughness effects of vegetation in nature; results indicate rapidly increasing setup when still water depth decreases below certain limit.
