The studies on Arctic white-out reported in this paper were conducted at a field research station located on the Greenland Ice Cap, about 230 miles east of the Thule Air Base, and at an elevation of about 7,000 ft. The authors discuss five white-out phenomena, analyze the possibility frecasting these phenomena, and suggest methods of dispersal.
