Abstract: A method for obtaining the water table fluctuations under drain boundaries and with stochastic net recharge is presented. The net recharge is the algebraic sum of intermittent additions through vertical seepage and continuous abtraction through evapotranspiration. A solution to the linearized Boussinesq's equation with net recharge as described above is obtained in a series form, from which the expected value and the standard deviation of water table height is then calculated.
