Abstract: The architecture-engineering-construction division of a Canadian company developed an improved procedure for appraising and reviewing individual performance. It has produced performance evaluations that are more objective and that often result in improved work by individuals as well as improved staffing decisions. Key points in the development of this procedure and the procedure itself are examined in this paper.
