Abstract: A method of calculating water surface profile for USBR standard horseshoe tunnel is developed. The method uses direct-integration process on energy principle. Equations describing geometry of this particular cross section are listed. Numerical values of hydraulic exponents are presented in both table and curves. Application examples show the easiness of profile calculation and comparisons with step-by-step procedures.
